G-d's Tefillin © 2011

By Michael Druck

What does G-d's tefillin say?
"And who is like Your people Israel,
one nation in the land"

G-d swears by Torah in His right hand
and tefillin in His left.
That is what G-d does.
And together we are kept.

G-d and His people.

Whoever praises G-d
is himself thusly praised.
Israel is one nation
unique as it says.

Supreme over all the nations,
for praise renown and splendor,
to G-d we are a holy nation
and He is our Defender;
as we are His defender.

Let us praise G-d today;
His commandments, statutes, decrees.
We are for Him a treasured people
for all eternity.

Such great and awesome deeds
in Egypt He decreed.
We are for Him a treasured people,
And that's our history.
